About the Program

Offered as an online course, the Advanced Clinical Studies Mentor Program provides you with the clinical support you need as a new Ayurvedic Health Practitioner so you can transform the health and lives of a wide range of clients. Alongside weekly classes and case study reviews, you’ll receive access to our Advanced Clinical Studies Online Student Forum, where you can post your cases and questions and receive guidance and feedback from New World Ayurveda Faculty as well as from your peers. This highly interactive forum support students to learn from each other by posting cases and sharing clinical suggestions and feedback for the purposes of everyone’s growth and learning. Our mission is to create a community of practitioners who can help each other and feel connected and supported.

Curriculum

This one-year online program consists of 400 hours over 3 terms:  7 hours per week on consults, write-ups, student forum reviewing and contributing cases = 252 hours.  Three intensives, two Clinical Intensives at 50 hours each and one Herbology Intensive at 48 hours = 148 hours.  Total hours = 252 + 148 or 400 hours.

Cases to be Completed: Students will observe 25 consults and perform 25 consults under direct supervision during the two clinical intensives. They will perform 54 consults (18 per trimester) one-on-one on their own under supervision.

Each weekly online class includes a review or update of an important clinical pearl, followed by a review of one or more student case presentations. A case study will be selected each week from the submissions received online. There will be a specific and concise format for cases to be presented to streamline the sharing process and avoid information overload.

Program Requirements

In this Advanced/Level II/Health Practitioner program, students will meet the following clinical hour requirements recommended by national organizations.

  • Observe 25 consults and perform 25 consults under direct supervision during the two clinical intensives.  
  • Perform 54 consults (18 per trimester) one-on-one on their own under supervision.

    Program Details

    Format: Three trimesters, 12 weeks/trimester – Can take, one, two, or all three

    Credit Hours:  400 hours over 3 terms

    Prerequisite: Completion of the NWA Ayurvedic Health Practitioner Training Program or equivalent

    Class size:  Limited to 10 students

    Tuition: $4000 as a one-time payment or $1400 down and 12 payments of $250 per month (total = $4400).
